Educational Programs

YÉOL’s educational programs on traditional Korean culture include the YÉOL Lecture for non-Koreans that is conducted in English, domestic and overseas field trips to historical sites, museum tours, and the historical walking tour of Seoul. Our educational programs are updated every year. To encourage young people’s involvement in traditional Korean culture, YÉOL provides the “Young YÉOL Program” that includes cultural heritage trips and lectures.

YÉOL hosts a special lecture series by distinguished professionals. At the beginning of every year, Mr. Yoon Yol Soo, the director of the Gahoe Museum, hosts the New Year’s Lecture on the zodiac animal corresponding to the year.

[2023 4월 특강] 클래식 강의-발레음악

강사 : 강규형(명지대학교 교수-세계현대사, 음악평론)

장소 : 예올북촌가 3층 라이브러리 (서울시 종로구 북촌로 50-1)

봄처럼 따듯하고 편안한 클래식 강의를 마련하였습니다. 발레의 아버지 태양왕 루이14세와 륄리, 17-18세기 유럽에서 유행한 무용과 춤곡인 미뉴에트에 대해 알아보고,

대표적인 발레음악인 쇼팽<실피드>, 아당 <지젤>, 들리브 <코펠리아>을 감상했습니다. 더불어 화려한 발레 문화를 자랑하는 러시아 발레에 대해 탐구해보았습니다.

이번 특강은 발레에 대한 심층적인 지식을 쌓고, 클래식 음악을 감상하며 마음의 안정과 평화로움을 찾을 수 있는 알찬 시간이었습니다.
